Bossier City is a sister city to Shreveport, with a steadily growing population of about 68,000 people. The only thing separating the two cities is the Red River that runs between them. Bossier City rests on the east side of the river and Shreveport is on the west side. Together, they form the biggest metro area in northern Louisiana, with a total population of about 190,000.
