16 Fosterville Road Bridgton, ME 04009
This historical meeting house was built in 1870 by Joash and George Knapp from South Bridgton designed by Architect F. H. Fasset with an Italian Romanesque style building complete with stain glass windows in the sanctuary. There is a very unique organ made by Holbrook of Millis, MA, who manufactured organs and bell molds. The organ was installed by Edwin Millis and the organ pipes are made of tin, which is very unusual. The organ has been refurbished in 2013. The steeple was removed and rebuilt. The woodwork on the walls and ceiling are a very intricate work of art. The vestry in the basement has a large open room with a stage, and small kitchen. There is insulation under most of the vestry floor. On the main level is a remodeled bathroom. The property has a drilled well, septic and heating system in place, upgrades under the structure/insulation/vapor barrier
