He skillfully combined elements of Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival influences when designing the mansion. Huddart's buildings were known for the quality of their design and construction. The mansion was named to the National Register of Historic Properties in 1977. Joseph Creswell was a wealthy Denver businessman in his time.
