Unofficially the most moose per acre in Vermont. No kidding... they roam these hills like stray cats. This multifaceted recreational property has a lot of interesting things going on. There are nice mountain views of the Whites and local hills to the north and east as you move uphill. From the ridgetop you can find views towards all points of the compass. Thanks to the character of the terrain most of what you can see could be expanded upon with some timber cut. Primarily Northern hardwood forest with a mix of maple, beech and ash. Higher elevations are spruce/fir. Timber harvest has yielded a return in the past and can be a continued source of income. An extensive network of woods roads eases access to the further reaches of this large parcel. Here is an interesting fact you may not have known about Concord, VT... in the early 1800's there was an attempt to mine copper in town! The remains of this failed operation can still be found among the hills of this property. Perfect for rockhounds and historians alike! No perc testing or permitting has been completed. Property is enrolled in Vermont's Current Use program. No utilities at roadside, though there is good cell reception. Leclair Road is a true class 4 road and requires a vehicle with good ground clearance and 4x4, it's a VAST snowmobile trail in the winter. Please don't block the road when parking to walk the land.
